This is my second Le Creuset item. I like the fact that I can use lower heat to cook and it seems to spread the heat so evenly. The weight of this particular item makes it sit firm on my electric burner...a bit of safety factor, to me; and it goes through the dishwasher very well.Amazon offers some Le Creuset items at great prices.
